As much as I hate to say it they are in deep trouble against the Heat. This day in history features Weir throwing dirt on the boys in green after blowing a 2 game lead to the Knicks. If I remember it comes somewhere between masterpiece and candyman

The way I figure it, the Celts are like the Diamondbacks here in AZ. Spend a bunch of money on some older, experienced players who had enough gas in the tank for at least one good run at a championship (and even 2). Now, they aren't totally shot yet, but I don't think they can hold out agains the young talent of the Heat. But things look good for the future as long as we can add some young talent around Rondo.

EDIT: I will add, however, that Ray Allen is an absolute freak, just like the Bruins Mark Recchi. The fact that they can still play at such a high level is absolutely insane.

I second the Ray Allen comment. He is one of the best pure shooters in the game. He lit up my Knicks with 8 (maybe 9) threes.

celtics = done. if they can barley beat a knicks team with 95% bench players + lacking Stoudemire & Billups they aint winning a championship. I was shocked that the first two against the knicks came down to the last shot. celtics need to get out the wheel chairs an roll on home. i respect them and of course Ray Allen...a Uconn legend (I'm from CT) but there done. If they prove me wrong ide be surprised. anythings possible though I guess

Hey, I from CT too. The mammon grubbing, office park, apartheid hobbit land. It's hasn't changed much. You ought to fix your tie and make your face more stern.

I agree, very sad. I think it comes back to the mid-season trade. It was a big gamble and this year however; I do not think it will pan out. How can you base a trade a young buck like Perkins; hoping A often injured Shaq can like magic, come back and take his role. It is really flawed thinking I feel. I will just watch most of the game shouting salty insults at the Heat.Go CELTS!!

The Perkins trade was a disaster. Cost us a shot at a ring. What was Danny thinking?
